Which number do you need?
- Club Car: the full cart serial, including the model letters. The first four numeric positions encode the model year and production week.
- E-Z-GO: the separate manufacturer code. A six- or seven-digit serial by itself does not use the later date-code rule.
- Yamaha: the three-character prefix and the production number after it, together called the Primary ID or PID. A prefix alone usually covers multiple years.

What the result means
A model year identifies a vehicle series. It is not necessarily the calendar year it left the factory, and it does not date replacement batteries, controllers or engines. This tool compares the label with published rules; it does not query a registration, warranty or ownership database.
Club Car’s date fields and the supported E-Z-GO year suffix are cross-checked with dealer guides. Yamaha results name the source: its starting-PID bulletin or an explicitly bounded published range. An unknown number stays unknown; the lookup does not extend the last known year forever.
Why didn’t my number match?
Check the brand, then copy the complete cart label. Keep leading zeroes and check O versus 0. A charger, motor or battery label belongs to that component. A 17-character road-vehicle VIN needs an appropriate official VIN lookup.
Coverage excludes pre-1981 Club Car formats, early and nonstandard E-Z-GO codes, and Yamaha entries beyond the published tables used here. A missing result does not mean a cart is fake. Send the manufacturer or an authorized dealer a clear label photo and the model details.
Can I order parts from this result?
Use the year as a starting point, then confirm the full serial, model and installed equipment with the parts supplier. Mid-year changes and previous modifications can affect fit. This lookup does not establish condition, value, ownership or recall-repair status.
